“Season of Darkness” will be published Spring 2011 by Mcclelland and Stewart

Maureen’s WW2 trilogy was sold today to Canadian Publishers Mcclelland and Stewart.
The first book in the trilogy, Season of Darkness, is set in Shropshire 1941, and deals with the suspicious death of a Land Army Girl near an internment camp on Prees Heath. The high stakes investigation opens doors into MI6, returning soldiers from Dunkirk, the internees held at the camp, as well as explosive secrets about a commanding and high ranking officer from Nazi Germany.
The book will be published in hardcover early 2011.
Book two will appear early 2012, is entitled “Beware This Boy”, and takes place later on in 1941 set in Birmingham UK around a munitions factory.
The final installment will be published (title tbd) in Spring 2013, and is set around a psychiatric hospital in Birmingham UK, 1942.
The first novel in the series, a police procedural, features DCI Tom Tyler.
The second and third novels in the series are stand alone thrillers, and feature characters that appear in the previous books.
